ULI Japan Leadership Council
ULI Japan Leadership Council spearheads the future for ULI and the real estate industry through small, invitation-only meetings with experts that discuss and examine various issues surrounding local real estate and land use.
The ULI Japan Leadership Council consists of ULI Full Members who have extensive experience and knowledge as well as involvement in real estate development/investment based in Japan.
For a member to join the Leadership Council, the member must be a full member, be recommended by at least two Leadership Council members and following that be approved by the Executive Committee.
Council members understand and are devoted to fulfill the mission and values of ULI, and include experts from the real estate and related industries, ULI Japan sponsors and long-standing core members of ULI Japan.
About Council Meetings
Council Meetings are held in the mornings of the ULI Japan conferences held twice a year in the spring and fall, and Council breakfasts and Council lunches are also held periodically. Information on the meetings are sent to the Council members three to four weeks prior to the meeting.
The Council Meetings invite guest speakers from within and outside of Japan, study issues affecting the Japanese real estate market, best practices that benefit the real estate industry, recent trends, etc. and conduct engaging discussions.
The number of participants to each meeting is limited to and participation in every meeting is not mandatory, but ULI requests each member to proactively participate so that there is a diversity of opinions present. Council Meetings are exclusively for Council Members and proxy attendance is not permitted.
Participation for Council Meetings will incur a fee.
Council Membership Eligibility
・Must be a ULI Full Member
・Must have a good understanding of and commitment to ULI’s mission and its values
・Must proactively participate in ULI’s major events within and outside of Japan as well as be committed to proactively participate in ULI Japan Council Meetings
