    Most sessions will be streamed daily over lunchtime for a virtual experience, with in-person watch parties held in Hong Kong and Singapore on November 2 and 3.

    Jane Lloyd

    Director, Third Shift Enterprises Pty Ltd

    Jane consults to several select clients through Third Shift Enterprises. Jane provides strategic development advice and client representation for development projects. Jane is a director of ISPT, and sits on the advisory boards of APPF Retail Investment Review Committee and ADCO Constructions. Prior to setting up her own consulting practice Jane held senior positions at DEXUS and Stockland. Jane spent her early career with Lend Lease. Jane has worked and studied in Australia and the US. Jane joined ULI in the US in 2011 and has been a strong advocate for the organisation since returning to Australia. Jane was appointed as a ULI Global Trustee in July 2018. Jane is a graduate of AICD. Jane has a Bachelor of Town Planning (Hons) from the University of New South Wales, a Masters of Businss Administration (MBA) from the Australian Graduate School of Management and a Masters in Public Administration (MPA) from Harvard.

    Marcus Lam

    Executive Chairman, Singapore, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP

    Marcus is the Executive Chairman of PwC Singapore and he is with the firm for more than 25 years. Marcus has many years of professional experience providing audit and advisory and consulting services to listed companies, multinational corporations and government agencies across different industries and sectors in Singapore. Outside of PwC, Marcus is very active in the non-profit sectors, he is the Vice President of the Parkinson Society Singapore, Deputy Chairman of the Singapore Polytechnic Board of Governors, a Member of the Accounting Standards Council (ASC) and a Council Member of the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA). In addition, he is a Chairman of the Edusave Advisory Council, Ministry of Education, a Board Member of the Alumni Advisory Board of Nanyang Business School, Nanyang Technological University of Singapore. Mr Lam holds a First Class (Honours) Accountancy degree from the Nanyang Technological University. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst and a practicing member of ISCA and a member of the ASEAN Chartered Professional Accountant (ASEAN CPA).

    Chief Strategy Officer & Vice President, Asia, AECOM

    Scott Dunn is Vice President for Asia at AECOM (NYSE: ACM), an $13.2 billion global provider of professional design and consulting services. Scott drives strategic growth for Asia and leads strategic initiatives that drive profitable growth for AECOM as a core member of the Asia leadership team. He also leads cross-functional teams in providing integrated services and sustainable solutions for large, complex and multidisciplinary projects across Asia, among them high-density masterplans for new towns and regeneration of existing urban landscapes that have drawn on sustainable and smart themes. For the larger APAC AECOM group, he leads the River Restoration and Integrated Coastal Management group with focuses on harnessing water infrastructure to protect communities, enhance ecosystems and build social / economic prosperity for our clients. He has been instrumental in building an integrated practice group with the skills sets to develop and deliver integrated watershed management services. Scott also is part of the Urban Land Institute as a Global Governing Trustee, Advisory Board member for the ULI Center for Sustainability and Economic Performance and sits on the Asia Pacific Executive Committee, Chair of the Nominations Committee and the Singapore Country Council (founding Chairperson). He is an advocate of sustainable land development and high dense urban environmental design and believes that in order to create great places, one should be both sensitive to the environment and be responsible for the society. His books and papers on urban mobility, sustainability and livability issues are frequently published with local and international media. As a highly regarded thought leader in the planning community, he actively speaks on land development at conferences and events throughout Asia and North America. For Urban Land Institute, he has co-authored four publications with the Singapore Center of Liveable Cities – 10 Principles for Liveable High-Density Cities Lessons from Singapore (2012), Creating Healthy Places through Active Mobility (2014), Creating Liveable Cities Through Car-Lite Urban Mobility(2016), and Urban Mobility: 10 Cities Leading the Way in Asia-Pacific (2017).

    Arthur Chua

    CEO, Goldbell Group

    Arthur Chua began his career in Goldbell Group in 2007 as a workshop operation executive in the Aftersales division and rose through the ranks of the various divisions before taking up the mantle of Group CEO in 2013. As CEO, Arthur doubled EBITDA for the Group from years 34-37 of the company’s anniversaries and conceptualized the creation of the Future Mobility Umbrella under the Group comprising the Corporate Venture Capital Arm (in 2015), the Venture Built Arm (in 2017), and the Mobility Accelerator (in 2019). He refers to the Ying and Yang of venture building and venture investing as the company’s twin engines of disruptive growth that will create ecosystems to enhance the core business operations, while repeatedly find new S-curves for disruptive growth. In 2015, Arthur also cofounded SWAT Mobility, a leader in transportation algorithms operating as a SaaS model in 7 Asian countries whose investors include prominent mobility corporates and VCs; and XSQUARE, an intelligent warehouse and autonomous forklift - AI stack provider in 2019 with commercial customers both locally and regionally. He is also launching the group’s 2nd fund, a first of its kind game-changing smart mobility and smart city fund that bridges the gap between Deep Tech, Deep Talent and Deep Market. Targeting seed stage to Series A-start-ups, Cube 3 ventures is addressing the issue of talent shortage in Asia by helping portfolio companies accelerate their tech curves and product development through its proprietary Tech Talent Hub concept, where best-of-breed world class tech expertise (including AI, software and big data engineers) is available to them as-a service. His other career highlights include: Panel member, Land Transport Master Planning 2040; Former board member of Singapore River One Board, Chairman, Business Improvement District Pilot; and one of the youngest members to be admitted into the Entrepreneurs Organization in 2008 and the Young President’s Organisation in 2016.

    Khong Shoong Chia

    Group Chief Corporate Officer, Frasers Property Limited

    As Group Chief Corporate Officer, Khong Shoong is responsible for the Group’s Corporate Secretariat and Legal, Sustainability, Corporate Administration and Group Human Resource functions. He also assists Frasers Property’s Group Chief Executive Officer in overseeing the evaluation, execution and implementation of group-wide projects and strategy initiatives as well as the development of the Group’s international businesses. Khong Shoong chairs the Finance Committees of Frasers Property Australia, Frasers Property UK and Frasers Property Industrial. He is also a member of the Group’s Sustainability and Purpose Steering Committee. Khong Shoong was previously the Group Chief Financial Officer and its Chief Executive Officer for Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. Prior to joining the Group on 2 March 2009, he held positions as Director, Investment Banking and Global Banking at The Hongkong & Shanghai Banking Corporation Ltd and Vice President, Global Investment Banking at Citigroup / Salomon Smith Barney. Khong Shoong holds a Master of Philosophy (Management Studies) from Cambridge University, United Kingdom and a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance) from the University of Western Australia, Australia.

    Jonathan Rose

    President, Jonathan Rose Companies

    Jonathan F.P. Rose’s business, public policy, teaching, research, writing and not-for-profit work focuses on creating more environmentally, socially and economically resilient cities. In 1989, Mr. Rose founded Jonathan Rose Companies LLC, a multi-disciplinary real estate development, planning, project management, and investment firm, to address the challenges of the poor distribution of opportunity through the development of affordable and mixed-income housing. Jonathan has led the firm’s vision, program and growth, developing award winning new projects, investment funds and city plans to model solutions integrating the issues of affordable housing, community development, culture and the environment. The firm is one of the largest acquirers of affordable and mixed income housing in the nation. The firm’s innovative work has won awards from a wide range of notable organizations including: the Urban Land Institute, the National Trust for Historic Preservation, the Natural Resources Defense Council, the American Planning Association and the American Institute of Architects. Mr. Rose also advises global cities on planning, affordable housing, environmental, and social issues. Mr. Rose’s book on how to create resilient cities, The Well-Tempered City: What Modern Science, Ancient Civilizations and Human Nature Teach Us About the Future of Urban Life, was published by Harper Wave in 2016, and won the 2017 PROSE Award for Outstanding Scholarly Work by a Trade Publisher. After His Majesty The King of Bhutan read the book, Mr. Rose became an advisor for the Government of Bhutan on its urban planning and other issues. Mr. Rose has been the subject of three Harvard Business School cases. He frequently lectures at graduate schools of business, environment and architecture on the future of cities, affordable housing community development, the environment, and regenerative business. In 2015, he held the Yale School of Architecture’s Edward P. Bass Distinguished Visiting Architectural Fellowship. Jonathan will be an Executive in Residence at the Saïd Business School 2021-2022, focusing on his unfolding work on regenerative business and regenerative economies. Mr. Rose has testified before U.S. Senate and House Committees on housing, infrastructure and environmental issues, and served as an Advisor to the White House Office of Urban Affairs. He serves on the Second District Advisory Council of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Mr. Rose is a Trustee of Enterprise Community Partners and The Capital Institute. He and his wife Diana Calthorpe Rose are the co-founders of the Garrison Institute and he serves as Chair on its Board. The Institute connects inner transformation with outer solutions to relieve suffering in the fields of trauma, education and the environment. He is an Honorary Member of the American Institute of Architects and Honorary Trustee of the American Museum of Natural History, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Brooklyn Academy of Music. Mr. Rose is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. Mr. Rose chaired the Metropolitan Transit Authority’s Blue Ribbon Sustainability Commission, which developed the nation’s first green transit plan, and was a commissioner on Governor Cuomo’s NYS 2100 Commission, tasked with identifying strategies for the long-term resilience of New York State’s infrastructure post-Hurricane Sandy. Mr. Rose graduated from Yale University in 1974 with a B.A. in Psychology and Philosophy, and received a Masters in Regional Planning from the University of Pennsylvania in 1980, and has an Honorary Doctorate from the New School.

    Gareth Wong

    CEO, Mitbana Pte Ltd

    Gareth Wong is Chief Executive Officer of Mitbana – a joint-venture fund management company of Mitsubishi Corporation, Japan’s leading trading house, and Surbana Jurong, one of the largest Asia-based urban, industrial and infrastructure consulting firms owned by Singapore’s Temasek Holdings. Mitbana’s mandate is to seed and crowd-in capital to develop Townships and Transit-Oriented Developments (TODs) in Emerging Asia, with a focus on ASEAN countries. Having spearheaded the investment thesis for Mitbana and established the company with a capital commitment of US$500 million, Gareth is Mitbana’s first appointed CEO and is responsible for its overall growth and development. In Sep 2020, Mitbana announced its first foray in Indonesia with local leading developer Sinar Mas Land to develop smart, sustainable TODs across more than 100 hectares in Sinar Mas’ flagship Township BSD City in Tangerang, Greater Jakarta. Prior to this appointment, Gareth was Deputy Managing Director of Surbana Jurong Capital, the Group’s investment arm. He was also previously Group Director in the Chairman’s Office. Between 2013 – 2016, Gareth was stationed full-time in Yangon to establish Surbana Jurong’s Myanmar Office. Gareth holds a BSc. in Economics (First Class Hons, Dean’s List) from University College London, as well as a MSc. in Political Science from Columbia University in the city of New York. Gareth is a member of the Forum of Young Global Leaders with the World Economic Forum, as well as the World Cities Summit (WCS) Young Leaders programme organised by the Centre for Liveable Cities, Singapore. Gareth currently serves as co-Chair of the NEXT affinity group in ULI Singapore.

    Kishin R K is the Founder and CEO of RB Capital Group RB Capital is a privately held real estate group founded in 2016 with the mandate to acquire and develop hospitality, commercial and healthcare properties across Asia Pacific. Some of the group’s notable projects includes the transformation of the Robertson Quay neighbourhood. An extensive and heartfelt 5 -year regeneration project along the Singapore River. It is anchored by Intercontinental Singapore Robertson Quay which adjoins The Quayside , a lifestyle retail and dining destination along the historic Singapore River. In 2019, Kishin co-founded and chairs Tiffinlabs a food tech company with the focus on converting underutilised real estate into delivery enabled kitchens combined with a brand development platform to create digital first restaurants built for global scale. Kishin is a member of Young President’s Organisation (YPO) and sits on the Board of Singapore River One and Raffles Place Alliance , charged with rejuvenating strategic locations across Singapore. He also sits on the board of Weybourne Holdings(holding company of Dyson) as a non-executive director , and Citibank’s APAC Advisory board. He has also recently been nominated as a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader.

    Benjamin Cha

    Chief Executive, Asia Pacific, Grosvenor

    Ben is responsible for leading and developing the Grosvenor business and capability in Asia. Ben joined Grosvenor in 2014 and has been a property investor and developer in the Asia Pacific region throughout his career. Before joining Grosvenor, Ben was Managing Director, Head of Global Real Estate, Greater China for UBS Global Asset Management and co-CEO for its UBS/Gemdale joint venture which invested in residential development projects in various cities across China. Prior to UBS, Ben was with Hong Kong developer HKR International in various roles and ultimately as Executive Director and Head of HKR Asia Pacific which had investment, development and asset management interests in China, Japan and Southeast Asia. Ben is a Trustee of the Urban Land Institute, is Co-Chair of the Asia Art Archive and serves on the board of the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority and its M+ Museum for Visual Culture. Ben was previously a member of the Tate Asia Pacific Acquisitions Committee. Ben was educated in the United States at Stanford University (MBA), and Middlebury College (BA, International Politics and Economics).

    As CEO of Private Equity Real Estate, Simon will be responsible for driving the growth of real estate AUM and FUM for CLI’s private equity real estate business. Simon has over 23 years of experience in real estate across USA, Asia, Europe and Latin America. Simon was the Managing Director, Global Chief Investment Officer and Head of U.S. Equity for BlackRock Real Estate; responsible for the overall investment strategy and performance of global real estate portfolios, including real estate funds, investment vehicles and research worldwide. Prior to BlackRock, Simon was co-founder, director and global CEO of MGPA, with real estate funds under management across Europe and Asia of US$14 billion. Prior to taking a career break last year, Simon held the role of President, Hawaii of The Howard Hughes Corporation (HHC) based in USA and directed the master planning, development, construction, sales, marketing, operations and marketing activities of the 60-acre partially built master plan called Ward Village. Simon has experience working and living around the world including Brisbane, Sydney, Singapore, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Shanghai, Honolulu and New York City.

    Miao Song

    Chief Information Officer, GLP

    Miao Song is chief information officer of GLP, responsible for all aspects of technology across GLP and oversees the company’s global data and digital strategy, Before joining GLP, Miao was global chief information officer and board member at Mars Petcare, driving digital transformation and innovation. Prior to that she was VP/chief information officer at Johnson & Johnson. Miao has more than two decades of international IT industry experience across diverse industries including oil/energy/natural resources as well as consumer goods and healthcare. She has lived and worked in China, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Singapore and Belgium and held leadership positions at Royal Dutch Shell, Nestle and Golden-Agri Resources. In 2019 she was named “Chief Information Officer of the Year – Europe” by International Data Group. Miao holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Management from Peking University and a Master of Business Administration Degree from Beihang University .

    Ed Walter

    Global Chief Executive Officer, Urban Land Institute

    W. Edward (Ed) Walter, a widely renowned real estate industry leader and most recently the Steers Chair in Real Estate at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business, is the Global Chief Executive Officer of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), a global real estate organization with more than 40,000 members dedicated to responsible land use and creating thriving communities. Walter joined ULI’s executive team in June 2018. As the Global CEO, Walter leads the implementation of ULI’s Global Strategic Plan, which includes delivering greater member value through technology investments to improve member connections and involvement with ULI; strengthening and broadening ULI’s member networks; and encouraging more philanthropic giving to expand ULI’s reach. The multi-year plan strives to strengthen member engagement and expand member impact in each of the three regions in which ULI has a presence – the Americas, Europe and Asia Pacific. Walter brings to ULI more than 35 years of management experience in the real estate profession across a variety of disciplines including hotels, multifamily, and land development, with a strong emphasis on capital markets and investments. From 2007 through 2016, he served as Chief Executive Officer, President and Director of Host Hotels and Resorts, Inc., where he led a $19 billion-plus global lodging real estate investment trust (REIT) with a high-performing portfolio of more than 110 hotels around the world. Prior to becoming Host’s CEO, he served as the company’s Chief Financial Officer for more than four years and served in other executive roles at Host for seven years prior to being named the CFO. Walter’s service at Host overlapped with his four-year tenure at Georgetown, where he created and taught the Real Estate Public Equity course, which is designed to explore multiple aspects of REITs. Before coming to Host, Walter served as an executive for several real estate organizations, including Bailey Capital Corporation in Washington, D.C., where he originated and restructured portfolios of multifamily assets; ZOM Communities in Orlando, Florida, where he worked in land development and sales, and multifamily development; and Trammell Crow Residential, where he was a partner in a number of developments. Walter’s industry volunteer leadership experience is equally expansive, including roles at the Real Estate Roundtable (he currently co-chairs RER’s Research Committee); National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (he chaired NAREIT from 2012-2013); and the American Hotel and Lodging Association, which he helped guide through a strategic planning process while chairing its CEO Council. He is an active member and current chairman of the Federal City Council, a non-profit, non-partisan council of business, professional, education and civic leaders focused on solutions to urban growth challenges faced by the Washington, D.C. metropolitan region. He is a Board member at Avalon Bay Communities and Ameriprise Financial. Previously, he was an active member of the National Kidney Foundation, having served as its Board Chairman, a National Director, and a member of its Executive Committee. He also served in leadership positions for the Foundation’s National Capital Area affiliate organization.

    Ben is responsible for leading and developing the Grosvenor business and capability in Asia. Ben joined Grosvenor in 2014 and has been a property investor and developer in the Asia Pacific region throughout his career. Before joining Grosvenor, Ben was Managing Director, Head of Global Real Estate, Greater China for UBS Global Asset Management and co-CEO for its UBS/Gemdale joint venture which invested in residential development projects in various cities across China. Prior to UBS, Ben was with Hong Kong developer HKR International in various roles and ultimately as Executive Director and Head of HKR Asia Pacific which had investment, development and asset management interests in China, Japan and Southeast Asia. Ben is a Trustee of the Urban Land Institute, is Co-Chair of the Asia Art Archive and serves on the board of the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority and its M+ Museum for Visual Culture. Ben was previously a member of the Tate Asia Pacific Acquisitions Committee.     Koon Hean Cheong

    Chairman, Centre for Liveable Cities

    Prof CHEONG Koon Hean is currently Chairman of the Centre for Liveable Cities (Ministry of National Development) as well as a Practice Professor and Chairman of the Lee Kuan Yew Centre for Innovative Cities (Singapore University of Technology and Design). She was formerly the CEO of the Housing and Development Board from 2010 to 2020, overseeing some 1 million public housing flats and introduced a new generation of well designed, community centric, sustainable and smart public housing. Prof Cheong was also CEO of Urban Redevelopment Authority from 2004 to 2010 and concurrently the Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of National Development from 2001 to 2016, with extensive experience in land use planning, conservation of built heritage, the real estate market, public housing, governance and policy. She played a key role in major urban transformations such as Singapore’s new city extension Marina Bay and the Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco City. She has served on numerous advisory panels including the World Economic Forum Council and is currently on the Asia Sustainable Infrastructure Advisory Panel. She is a board trustee of the National University of Singapore, former Deputy President and current Council member of the International Federation for Housing & Planning, Chairman of the Lee Kuan Yew World City Prize’s Nominating Committee, a Fellow(Life) and Honorary Fellow of the Singapore Institute of Architects and Institute of Planners respectively. She was formerly on the boards of the Urban Redevelopment Authority, Housing & Development Board, Jurong Town Corporation, Jurong Port, National Heritage Board, Civil Service College and a global trustee of the Urban Land Institute.     Director, Earth Observatory of Singapore , Nanyang Technological University Singapore

    Professor Benjamin Horton is the Director of the Earth Observatory of Singapore at Nanyang Technological University (NTU). Prior to joining NTU, Professor Horton was Professor at Rutgers University and Associate Professor at the University of Pennsylvania. Professor Horton obtained his PhD from the University of Durham, UK. Professor Horton has won several awards in his career. In 2019, he was appointed the President’s Chair in Earth Sciences at NTU for outstanding achievement. For excellence in research, he received the Plinius Medal from the European Geosciences Union, the Voyager Award from the American Geophysical Union, and the W. Storrs Cole Award from the Geological Society of America. He was elected Fellow of the Geological Society of America in 2013 and Fellow of the American Geophysical Union in 2018. Professor Horton was an author of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) 5th Assessment Report and is a Review Editor for the new 6th Assessment Report. Professor Horton’s research was cited by President Obama in his 2015 State of the Union Address at the United States Capitol on January 20th 2015. Professor Horton has published over 220 articles in peer-reviewed journals, including 29 articles in high profile journals such as Science, Nature and Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences. Professor Horton is supervising or has supervised 26 students to the degree of PhD and 22 postdoctoral scientists, of which 17 now have permanent academic positions. Professor Horton’s research concerns sea-level change, with the aim of understanding and integrating the external and internal mechanisms that have determined sea-level changes in the past, and which will shape such changes in the future. His research impacts upon important ecological, ethical, social, economic and political problems specifically facing coastal regions.
