Darryl is the Director, Sustainability at Oxford Properties. Oxford manages approximately $60 billion of assets across the globe on behalf of its co-owners and investment partners, with a portfolio that encompasses office, retail, industrial, hotels and multifamily residential and spans more than 100 million square feet in global gateway cities and hubs across four continents. Darryl is the leader of Oxford’s award winning sustainability program, and is responsible for driving strategy, standards and performance across its global portfolio in collaboration with a wide range of partners. He is also active across a number of global and regional associations and advisory groups on sustainability and green buildings. Prior to joining Oxford, Darryl spent time working with numerous organizations on environmental and carbon accounting standards development, training and consulting. He has an undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies and an MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University in Toronto, and is a LEED Accredited Professional.

Jill Sherman joined Gerding Edlen in 2003 and was named a partner in 2014. Jill leads Gerding Edlen’s public-private partnerships and build-to-suit projects for non-profit and for-profit organizations, facilitating the important work of nonprofits and public agencies in our communities. Her portfolio includes affordable housing, community facilities and mixed use developments. She is committed to minimizing the negative impact that buildings can have on the environment-her current projects include the PAE Living Building, which is pursuing the Living Building Challenge and an affordable housing project pursing net zero energy. Jill is responsible for new business development as well as management of all predevelopment activities including design and budgeting, entitlements, neighborhood outreach, negotiating agreements and contracts, and financing. Jill served on the Portland Planning Commission from 2007-2012 and currently serves on the boards of Earth Advantage and the Portland Institute for Contemporary Art. Jill has a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Masters in Urban Studies and Graduate Certificate in Real Estate Development from Portland State University.

Jim Landau, LEED AP, is the Director of Environment, Social & Governance for MetLife Investment Management’s (MIM) Real Estate Equity, Debt and Agricultural Finance Divisions. Jim chairs MIMs ESG Advisory Committee and is responsible for programs such as MetZero, achieving carbon neutrality in several investment funds. He also oversees initiatives including on-site renewable installations, energy and water efficiency in existing buildings and new developments, assessing the impact of climate change and resiliency for new equity and debt investments, reporting to EPA, DOE and GRESB and developing a Health & Wellness platform. Previously, Jim was the Director of Asset Management for MetLife Investment Management’s Washington D.C. Region. He has over 15 years of Asset Management experience with MIM and previously, with Bentall Kennedy. He has managed assets and portfolios in several markets across the U.S. Property experience includes several asset classes and extensive work with both existing properties and new development projects. Prior to Asset Management, Jim was an MAI appraiser and started his real estate career in property accounting with Cushman & Wakefield.

Marta Schantz is the senior vice president for the Urban Land Institute’s Greenprint Center for Building Performance at the, a worldwide alliance of real estate owners committed to improving the environmental performance of the industry – reducing carbon, and increasing building value. Recent focus areas range from City/Real Estate Partnerships for Climate Policy, to Embodied Carbon in Real Estate, to Class B/C Office Energy Efficiency. Before her time at ULI, Marta consulted to utilities and real estate at Waypoint Energy, performed federal energy consulting at Booz Allen Hamilton, and conducted energy project cost analyses at the US Department of Energy. Marta is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and is a LEED Green Associate and a Fitwel Ambassador.
