Shibuya is undergoing a once-in-a-hundred-year major transformation with multiple buildings being built recently. Tokyu Corporation, which will celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2022, has been engaged in the urban development of Shibuya since its inauguration. In establishing mutual direct train services between the Toyoko Line and Tokyo Metro Fukutoshin Line in 2013, one of the major projects, Tokyu Corporation successfully transferred railroad tracks to underground rails in one night, and succeeded in making the land on which the railroad tracks between Shibuya Station and Daikanyama Station were located available for development. Toward the goal of “Urban Development for each of the Area” centered on such railroad land, Tokyu Corporation is creating unique facilities to bring new value and excitement to the area, such as Log Road Daikanyama built by utilizing a railroad facility that stood on a site 220m long, and Nakameguro Koukashita which was established in the past year and has attracted a lot of attention.
