The initiative in Japan was started in September 2013 in the form of the Women in Real Estate Networking event series. Since then, ULI Japan has hosted over a dozen events focused on empowering women and spreading awareness to the issues surrounding gender-gap in the local real estate industry.
The ULI Japan WLI Committee was formed in November 2017 to further develop programs that drive the mission. WLI Japan is committed to supporting advancement of women in the urban development and real estate industry.
