In October 2021, Facebook changed its name to "Meta" and announced metaverse as a future area of focus, leading to surging market interest in an expanded use of virtual space. In this event, we invite three experts in this field to discuss what exactly the metaverse is and what it can do for real estate.

Shinichiro Sanji (Partner, PwC Consulting) will introduce an overall industry landscape of the metaverse. This will be followed by Yoshitaro Honjo, President and CEO of monoAI Technology, who is developing the XR business for corporate clients, who will discuss the practical applications of metaverse using several use cases. We will then welcome Takuji Kitagawa, CEO of b8ta Japan, who leads a new business model based on "retail without selling" using an experience-based store originated in Silicon Valley, California, to join a panel discussion moderated by Sanji to explore the possibility that the metaverse is likely to influence the future use of commercial real estate industry.

After serving as a server engineer as well as being involved in consumer game development at a major gaming company, he launched monoAI technology. Honjo started research and development of network games at a time when there was no culture to create network games in Japan and released the virtual space platform “monoAI XR CLOUD” in 2020. Honjo is engaged in game creation, AR/VR and other XR development and quality control using AI.
