After joining Takara Komuten Co., Ltd., the predecessor of Takara Leben, Kazuichi Shimada engaged in new land development including the purchase of business sites, and assumed the position of Director, General Manager of Development Division. He became Representative Director, Vice President in 2006 and Representative Director and President in 2014 after serving as Managing Director and Executive General Manager of Development Division. As President, he implemented a series of progressive management measures, including capital increase based on Japan’s first rights offering and listing of Takara Leben Infrastructure Fund, Inc. (first to be listed on infrastructure fund market). He expanded the business scope from the real estate sales business to include the renewable energy business utilizing solar power generation and investment management business for listed investment corporations. Announcing a new Medium-Term Management Plan, the company is eyeing further growth beyond 2022, its 50th anniversary from establishment.

Takatoshi Ito joined general real estate developer ES-CON JAPAN in 2001. He assumed his present post as President & Representative Director of ES-CON JAPAN in March 2011 after serving as Managing Director and Head of Business Division from 2007. Although ES-CON JAPAN faced its own financial crisis due to the global financial crisis triggered by the subprime loan issues in 2008, Ito successfully revitalized the company in just three years through rescheduled-type turnaround alternative dispute resolution (ADR). While ES-CON JAPAN places the for-sale condominium business as its core business, it has expanded into the development of commercial and logistics facilities, hotels and other types of real estate business, turning the company into a brand like no other as a “life developer” that works to develop people’s lifestyles in addition to the development of properties. The company aims to make a further leap as a consolidated subsidiary of Chubu Electric Power Co., Inc.
